Identify the actual part
A bumper cover, a door skin and an inner reinforcement are different parts. Ask the estimator to identify the component on the estimate and explain the damage being addressed.
Ask why the method was chosen
Discuss repair restrictions, access, previous repairs, part availability and the proposed finish. A lower parts bill does not by itself establish that repair is the appropriate method.
Check the surrounding scope
Removal, refinishing, joining, corrosion protection and related checks may differ between options. Review the whole proposed operation and any unresolved findings before authorizing it.
